The collaboration between autonomic centres produces the best results.

The Group Electromagnetismo Computacional HEMCUVE, formed by researchers of the Universities of Extremadura and Vigo, together with the Centre Estremeño of Investigation, Technological Innovation and Supercomputación (ZENITHS) went back to beat the record of computación electromagnetic in the new Supercomputador estremeño, Lusitania, when resolving 620 million unknown.

This record surpasses to the previous, of 500 million unknown, whipped months backwards put it same group of investigation in the Supercomputador FinisTerrae of the CESGA.
Achieve this challenge is fruit of the numerous attach scientific of the group, and puts of manifest the importance of the collaboration between autonomic centres as the CESGA and the ZENITHS.

To achieve it used the 256 cores of processing of Lusitania, 1.6 by heart main TB and a total of 20 hours of use of the Supercomputador. The problem resolved will serve for modelar the electromagnetic behaviour of a car to frequencies of 79 GHz, of rigorous form. The data of the analysis realized will serve of base stop the design of the new systems of security automobilística (so much of systems anticolisión like systems of guided or systems radar), stop those that the European Union assigned the band of 79GHz.

The group HEMCUVE, received in 2009 the international prizes PRACE and Itanium Innovation by the his contribution to the electromagnetismo in supercomputación. The group is led put professors José Manuel Taboada and Luis Landesa in the University of Extremadura and by Fernando Obelleiro and José Luis Rodriguez of wool Universidad of Vigo. In the development gave challenges have taken part the technicians and investigating of the CESGA and of the ZENITHS.
