CESGA Computational Science Summer School will take place from July 4 to September 30, 2011. This third edition of the Summer School is devoted to graduate students, engineers, researchers, and programmers who are interested in computational science and new tools for scientific calculation or intensive computation.

The following topicsof programming, optimisation, and debugging of sequential and parallel scientific applications will be covered.

Basic level

  • Programming in Fortran (05/07-08/07, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
  • Programming in C (11/07-15/07, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
  • Compilation, execution and optimisation of scientific programs (18/07-22/07, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
  • Introduction to resolution algorithms for scientific applications (26/07-29/07, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)

Advanced Level

  • Parallel programming using OpenMP (30/08-02/09, 09:00 to 14:00 hours)
  • Introduction to programming in MPI (05/09-09/09, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
  • Tools for parallel applications development: Debugging and analysis of performance (12/09-16/09, 10:00 to 14:00 hours)
