Project summary: This project aims to position the POCTEP initiative as a leader in the creation and application of advanced technologies through the strategic integration of quantum technologies (computing, communications, and simulation) and artificial intelligence (AI). The project will enhance research and innovation capabilities by encouraging the shared and coordinated use of existing infrastructure such as supercomputers, quantum networks, and AI platforms, with a particular emphasis on developing solutions in key sectors such as agri-food, health, cybersecurity, energy, and the environment. Through specific technology demonstrations and proof-of-concept (PoC) tests, the project will promote the integration of these technologies into companies and public agencies, ensuring rapid knowledge transfer. In addition, it will drive the development of a hybrid quantum-AI innovation ecosystem connecting research centers, universities, public administrations, and companies, fostering cross-border cooperation and ensuring the attraction and retention of specialized talent in emerging fields, while promoting territorial cohesion. The project will promote innovation, helping to reduce technological, economic, and social disparities, boosting competitiveness, creating skilled jobs, and ensuring the sustainability of the cross-border scientific and business ecosystem.
