Project Description
Project Name: DeepQuantum
Project Description: To contribute to the development of High-Performance Quantum Computing by providing new knowledge, new algorithms, and new tools.
The overall goal of the DeepQuantum project is to make a significant contribution to the development of high-performance quantum computing by providing new knowledge, new algorithms, and new tools. To this end, it will address five objectives: improving currently used variational algorithms by designing new techniques that take advantage of the capabilities of HPQC; developing an improved and adapted version of the TNBS suite, tailoring it to the needs of HPQC; improving the integration of quantum and classical computers; designing and evaluating new classical and quantum artificial intelligence algorithms for multivariate time series; and to develop new parallel algorithms that can make effective use of distributed quantum computing with quantum communications. To this end, the distributed quantum computing emulator currently under development at CESGA will also be improved, adapting it to the new needs identified in the research aimed at addressing the challenges posed by the above objectives. As a result of the project, at least 7 high-impact scientific publications, 24 conference presentations, and the creation of new tools and algorithms that will be made openly available to the community are anticipated.
