Description of the project in which the researcher will work: DRAM Security in High-Performance Computing Systems

Security is no longer just a matter of software. As hardware devices continue to shrink in size, they inevitably become less reliable due to phenomena such as interference, crosstalk, and other effects. Security and reliability issues in hardware are fundamentally more difficult to mitigate than software issues, since hardware cannot be modified as easily and has very limited reprogrammability. Therefore, it is extremely important to design hardware devices with security and reliability as primary considerations, giving them the same level of importance as performance and energy efficiency.
