Project 1: QuantumLab – Quantum analog simulator with Paul ion traps

The project focuses on the development of QuantumLab as a experimental platform for quantum technologies. The objective is to establish a versatile environment for quantum simulation with Paul traps for quantum information processing, and the exploration of fundamental physics with trapped ions.

Project 2: CosmicQuantum – Cosmic ray detection in the quantum computing structure of CESGA

This project focuses on the importance of cosmic radiation effects on quantum computers. The innovative idea corresponds to the construction and operation of a detector to measure the charged cosmic radiation passing through the quantum computer coupled to the Qmio CESGA quantum computer and transferring the information obtained (position and time of the cosmic passage) to the quantum computing infrastructure for further analysis and data processing.
