Project Description

EVITA – Exchange, Valorisation and Transfer of regional best policy measures for SME support on IT and eBiz

Period: 2008-12-01 – 2011-09-30 (18 months).

Funded by: Comisión Europea

EVITA strives to strengthen and support ICT products and services amongst Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and to increase their competitiveness by improving their accessibility to the global digital economy, with emphasis in Web 2.0 business opportunities. This is achieved by transferring successful policy practices, as recognised by the European Commission, from regions who have successfully adopted IT and e-business practices, to less-developed areas in European Union countries.

Moreover EVITA introduces a flexible training tool which seeks to help SMEs to update their knowledge and skills in the face of a restless call for innovation. The project will create a modern and effective e-business training content and an e-learning platform aiming at tangibly accelerate e-business strategy implementation.

This way, EVITA equips the targeted regions not only with experiences from other, more advanced regions, but also with tangible practical tools for implementing e-business training strategies for SMEs and the adequate trained staff that could act as accelerators and multipliers of training policy measures.
