SESAME NET

Period: 2015-06-01 – 2017-06-30 (24 months).

SESAME Net Project (SUPERCOMPUTING EXPERTISE FOR SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISE NETWORK) main objective is to create an European network of High Perfomance Computing (HPC) Competence Centres for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

This network has two main overarching objectives:

To promote access to computational expertise anywhere in European Union.

To enable the dissemination of “best practices” in HPC for industrial use, mainly in SMEs.

These two overarching objectives are intended to be achieved by the best engage between HPC services offer and real SMEs needs, through:

Creating an European network of HPC centres all over Europe

Making visible and raising awareness of the HPC benefits for SMEs

Identifying SMEs needs in different business areas to engage HPC centres offer to these specific needs

Training SMEs in tools and practices needed to include HPC in their processes.

This project receives funding from the EU´s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme
