UnderstAID – Support Platform for dementia informal caregivers

The aim of this project is to create a technological ICT-based system , both for smartphones and PCs, hat can support informal carers in their role, providing knowledge, skills and attitudes in several areas and under concrete daily life situations to reduce anxiety and stress. The system will offer several types of options, including access to learning contents about the role of caregivers for demented elderly, the opportunity for communication with professional health and access to a digital network with like-minded people.
The project involves 4 Danish partners, 3 Spanish and 2 from Poland, and it’s coordinated by VIA University in Denmark. It is financed by the 5th call of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL), and will last until 2016.
